It is exactly my kind of round which is why I was determined to get an entry in, even if the timing is haphazard and Im getting the very very very slow hang of Mac + PS.
I love Spy x Family and EVERYBODY needs to be watching it.

21-40 [Community] for my otp-luving heart.

Notes:

What I wanted to do at first was make like 5 icon for 4 otps. I made 5 for Jeff and Annie and promptly fell down a rabbit-hole of my own love for them. And thats how I ended up with 40 icons.

The icons follow a chronological order of their time together.

I tried to include as much dialogue as possible but good god, I forgot what a pain in the bum text can be but also, god bless Intro's exsistence as a font cause it saved my life a fair bit. Also I followed absolutelybatty's tutorial on text here so that I could create half-way decent text icons without devolving into a sobbing mess.

All the sober/brownish/grungy icons are me messing around with gradient maps and the Noise filter. The blobby soft icons are me messing around with Box Blur/Lens Blur. After 11 years or so of mucking about with graphics, I discovered Smart Sharpen. And I'm appalled at not having looked into it earlier.

Explanations Added. Not sorry for the wall of text. B-) I added a cut tho, for those who aren't in the mood for OTP ramblings. EDIT : [LJ IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO DO A PROPER CUT ;_;]

1. I wanted to participate in this month's somein30 round and the idea was to make a 50-50 mix of simple and complex but I found myself making simple icons cause I was enjoying the process more. Also, I chose Normal Mode.

2. Some nostalgia is happening, which is why I iconned the early seasons of Teen Wolf.

3. For some reason, I wanted to slap grunge textures on everything, so I did. Some colouring experiments were also attempted. Fun was had!

4. The kpop icons were made for a battle that was supposed to be posted a year and half ago. But it never materialized, so I'm just posting my completed set.

The last blended icon I made was bout 6 years ago? So it was a struggle. I feel accomplished just for even managing it. And 2 blending icons in one post??? Who am I even??

I'm so out of practice when it comes to making technical icons, cause I usually default to the simple stuff. So this was hard but also enjoyable.

The goal was to do 10. I couldnt so here I am, with 6, just one past the minimum. Shortest icon post ever. Edit: I was able to hit 10!
