Notes:
- GAWD. I AM DONE. I NEVER THOUGH I WOULD SEE THIS DAY. And actually churn out 20 icons in one and a half days (for insp20in20). As you can see, they also look like they have been done swiftly. But I kind of like them?
- I am not that pleased with my 20insp set. I mean, I am mostly pleased but then I lost the drive in the last stretch of making icons for it and IT SHOWS. :( Also, wow, obscure crops kicked my butt. As did down the rabbit hole. Andddd blocking. ;_;
- The final bunch of icons are for a lovely multimaker comm I am a part of,
pixelheroes. GDI, making icons for the first challenge of nostalgia. And also reinforced that I am oldddddddd. But, life moves on.
- I am one icon short of sixty. THIS BUMS ME OUT GUYS. I like ever numbers!
- Thank you kindly for reading through this if you did. :D
- Also, wow, for once, not even a single icon of Community. :O

I tried to primarily focus on Drama and Mystery and Crime. I wanted to be a little bit srz bizness without the teenage romance part. I would like to think I did pretty okay. :D

Date: Sunday, 19 May 2013 06:00 pm (UTC)I really like blocking, vibrant and retro (lololol) from your 20insp set and the whole of your insp20in20 set is just fab - I mean how do you just bang out that kind of magic in less than two days? My favourite of the bunch though is 30; that crop is just pretty darn epic and the text placement really complements everything so very well. I also love 23, 26, 37 and 42.

Date: Wednesday, 22 May 2013 12:40 am (UTC)I love your Hermione set, the colouring is absolutely magnificent! I love the softness and monochromatic feel of Pastel. The subtle lighitng is absolutely phenomenal there, and the icy blue tones you've played with are gorgeous. The lighting in Minimalism is kind of magical as well, and the natural colouring there is gorgeous. Border is amazing. Utterly amazing. The colours are so, so gorgeous - love the pastel pinks, and the lighting is phenomenal. The crop is wonderful, and the text just brings everything together beautifully! The composition of retro is fantastic too. I love the texture work there, and the text is so brilliantly placed and spectacularly done. The crop of #14 is all kinds of amazing. That scene is a nightmare to colour, and the way you've done it so elegantly, with the gorgeous subtle, vintage tones is so remarkable! #16 is incredible in that way as well. The lighting in that icon is truly gorgeous, and the crop is just flawless.
The PLL set is also incredible. The lighting in #23 is so exceptional, and I LOVE the text placement, it's so interesting and wonderfully spaced. The intense colours of #28 are so stunning, the orange and red tones are beautifully highlighted and the texture work is fantastic! #30 is magical. The crop is amazingly done, and the shadows and lighting are absolutely amazing. Once again, the text work is perfect - gorgeous placement and absolutely wonderful spacing. I really love the wide crop of #37, and the muted, natural tones are absolutely wonderful. And the lighting and contrast in #41 is truly wonderful as well.
I also really, really love #43, the shadows and contrast and colours in the icon are amazing, and #47 has the most incredible crop, and the muted, vintage colouring is divine. Annnnnd finally, DEXTER <3 Gotta love some old school animation, it takes me right back to being a kid, haha. Gorgeous colouring in all those icons, I love your vibrant colours!

Date: Saturday, 25 May 2013 11:19 am (UTC)Anyway, some favorites:
Stock - flawless, incredible composition. The white text fits it perfectly and wow, I love all the shapes here.
DTRH - COMPOSITION MAGIC and damn the vibrant, deep pink and the paintingy texture use are flawless, as is the text.
Border - so very pretty and gorgeous in every way, I love the decorative borders and the soft pastelly coloring and just everything!
Retro - omg wow this is perfection, such fun texture use and composition, looove the thought bubble (this is something you're really ace at, using thought/speech balloons! So creative and fun!)
The whole category set - wgfsdefgfhfhb these muted tones + superb lighting + the crops = perfection. The first and fourth ones are particularly amazing but really they're all awesome.
ac1 - another example of your stunning muted colors
ac2 - LOVE the crazy bold coloring! ♥ How are you so awesome at both vibrant and muted icons?? I think it's how far you take both styles, it always ends up looking really striking and awesome because of that.
27 - WOW at the composition and texture use, and I love what you did with the text, how it sort of circles her.
28 - GORGEOUS flawless lighting and coloring and the scribbly text use is such a stunning detail here!
30 - cropping and text magic
36 - another thing that you always rock is this texture. It looks amazing in this icon too and the whole icon just looks incredible.
37 - love the wide crop, the pale colors and the lighting *__*
39 - the muted purples are just so pretty <3
46/47 - gorgeous crop and the sharpness is spot on. I love that you gave both muted and vibrant versions, i can't decide which I prefer cause they're both fantastic!
Annnd I also adore everything made for pixelheroes, especially the bold colors and all the negative space :>
