Picspam : Community - Jeff/Annie
Saturday, 31 December 2011 10:41 pmI always wanted to make a picspam of Jeff/Annie but I was too lazy. However, this time I decided that I HAVE to do it, so I buckled down and did. These are all scenes from season 3. I divided the picspam into two parts. Part One, I'll post now, Part Two I'll post next year. ;) And hopefully, someday I'll get down to doing a picspam of all my favourite moments between them ever.
Hope you all like it. :)

;;;;;;;;
1. This was like a dream come true. All the dancing(together) and the lyrics, sent my gleeful shipper heart straight up to glorious shipper heaven.

2. Over the seasons, I've noticed that these two say a lot, JUST through the uses of glances alone. Their shared glances tend to speak more than their awkward(sometimes) give and takes do. Whenever Annie is trying to tell him something important and somber that will lead him towards self- realization, she usually gives him this glance, like this gentle, tender half smile thing. And however reluctant Jeff feels about it, somewhere he knows deep down that whatever Annie is trying to get him to realize /understand is important. GUHHHHH. Annie and her eyes and emotive face. I love it. :')

3. One of my favourite episodes ever cause finally, whatever they call the thing between them, it's addressed and they realise you can't hide it under the passive aggressive big-brother/ kiddo type thing forever. And the last two scenes, once again, I died and went to heaven. If nothing at all, Joel and Allison have like, FANTASTIC chemistry between them. <333

4. Dont you think that despite all the 'I'm the lone ranger, I walk alone,' attitude that Jeff likes to portray (well, it has lessened a lot this season, he does realize he needs the group) Jeff really likes to be taken care off? Maybe it's a Fanon fact that's been established in my head, but it seems like Jeff is a Mama's Boy. And I think that at some level, what he looks for is in the perfect woman is someone who nurtures. There comes in Annie. Annie likes being appreciated, needed in a good way. She likes taking care of people (I'm not saying that the entirety of her personality revolves around this. Merely one aspect of it. )
Dosen't this make Jeff and Annie perfect for each other?
(lol. In my opinion it does but yeah, different folks, different strokes all that. :))
5. When Annie first started telling the story, I'll admit, I cringed a little. (I'm not that big a fan of Twilight.) Then came the twist and I was all, "HELLS YEAH, WHO'S THE BITCH NOW" werewolf!Annie was badass in a way that surpasses all other levels of badassery.
6. I just added this here cause,
a) the first scene always cracks me up because Annie laughing at Jeff's clothing is a sign that she's a lot more mature now about her feelings for Jeff. She may really like him, but she's not above laughing at him either. :D
b) I just love the way Annie narrates. Once again, full use of all her features to make things expressively creepy. And I like how methodical she is, as well as how detail oriented her gore is, which in it's self is creepy. Jeff's expression, as always when he's confronted with a new side of Annie ( this time suprisingly gruesome) is priceless. I bet he thinking to himself that here is someone who he should never cross cause obviously, vengeance will be served. And that too in the most painful manner possible.

Yeah, only here it was really more of a challenging look, as in "Take that, I just used your own arguments against you, try to contradict that, I dare you" and Jeff had to forfeit, when you look at a bigger picture you can say Annie was actually the one who outlawyered him out of the group, so even though the episode wasn't all about J/A it did kind of turn into a J/A powerplay of sorts. I guess, their "evolved" dynamic is that she no longer fawns over him and can actually be pretty cold to him (I wish they'd elaborated more on that "I ask you to stop being my friend"(a bit harsh, no?) because that's actually pretty huge and yet it's completely dismissed) All that new info I'd gathered from s3 premier was actually why it felt pretty strange to me that in ep2 Annie implies that they are very close, I mean, how can she love their closeness and yet be so eager to drop him as her friend? (I love that episode to bits and Jeff's ~feelings~ speech and look was my favourite J/A moment ever but I don't feel like this ep fits very well in line with the season premier, some gap needs to be filled clearly)

YES! Totally agree, I don't even think he's really aware of that but he craves it, and the warmth. I think his mom was very doting, trying to make up for the lack of fatherly affection, and they say men look for women like their mothers and women look for men like their fathers ("That's what my Dad always used to say" heh) so that kind of makes Annie and Jeff perfect for each other *gg*
She may really like him, but she's not above laughing at him either. :D
I think she was never above laughing at him, and she always has had the best insults for him - Handsome hobo, lump of overpriced fabric and hair-product, haircut in a box, all of bitter shallow hipster song *gg*
I bet he thinking to himself that here is someone who he should never cross cause obviously, vengeance will be served. And that too in the most painful manner possible.
Haha, I was thinking that too, both Britta and Jeff's reactions were priceless, since they kind of sort of wrong-ed Annie in a way, not intentionally, but they both hurt her, and they were both probably thinking they should never cross Annie on purpose *gg*

Date: Wednesday, 11 January 2012 09:19 pm (UTC)I know right? I dont believe that Annie would be so quick to drop him as a friend. I mean, after all she's been through, is she saw a friend in trouble, I'm sure she would stick with him/her through and through.
I loved all your observations. They are precisely what have been running through my mind. :D It was lovely to read the long comment. I LOVE discussing ships to bits. Thank you SO much for the insight. :)
(I'm so sorry for the late reply. No internet and all those pesky real-life shennagins)

Date: Thursday, 12 January 2012 02:39 pm (UTC)I think it's the case where characterization suffers due to the lack of screen time to deal with it properly, they just need a quick fix. Just like in the episode about drugs I don't believe that Jeff wouldn't have tried to find out why she had taken the bribe from Pierce in the first place instead of just cruelly reprimanding her(to be honest the whole group were heartless bs to her for that instead of just finding out what's wrong they "fired" her), he would have wanted to know and he would have wanted to help, because we all know how much he cares about her well-being(in the first part of the s2 Paintball finale he actually asked if she were ok like 3 times during the 20-minute show and not anyone else) and then in the end she was the only one apologising.
Of course you love discussing the ship to bits, so do I, that's what we shippers do and that's why we are here in the first place, people outside of fanfom are missing all the fun part of loving a show, srsly. :D
(it's ok, I know how annoying it is when RL interferes with fandom fun, ugh ;))

Date: Friday, 13 January 2012 12:13 am (UTC)Exactly, boo RL ;) Also, in a perfect world Community would have been back TODAY. On a day I could have been so happy (and considering first January episode often means lots of J/A I could have been triply happy) I'm so freaking sad. Damn you, NBC. The opposite of Batman :(
