1-10 - 2046 for [livejournal.com profile] 10in30
11-15 - 2046

Notes:

  1. Um hey. You guys. Idk what's up with me. 2 entries in the span of 3 days. Madness I tell you.

  2. I happened to finish my 20 muses set on Friday and began working on the 10in30 set on Saturday. I figured I could get a headstart on the set and work on it through the week. Instead I finished it over the weekend and decided to post it right away? I think if my claim had been anything else, I would have struggled badly but as it turns out, 2046 is all about pining, longing and lost loves and therefore perfect. :D

  3. I just want to tell you guys a little bit about my claim. 2046 is this fantastic film by Wong-Kar Kai and is one of my favourite films EVER. It's a visually gorgeous film in addition to being a film that makes you want to cry. I highly recommend watching it if you like beautifully shot films about the melancholy nature of love. :D

  4. I'm having a very fun time throwing on all the textures on the icon and I refuse to stop. Yay for textures and colour!

  5. I'm very pleased with this set and hope that I continue to feel this way about my icons for the rest of the year instead of plain 'meh'.

  6. I hope you like these guys and concrit is always welcome. In the spirit of texture vomit, I know I am fucking up on the sharpening. ;_;

Wow. I love this movie so much and I know how tricky the caps from it can be sometimes. You did an amazing job. My favorite is #1 cause I love the feeling that come from it!

Yaaaeh I agree with you: 'Yay for textures and colour!'
Anyway... such a gorgeous set! I really love the crops in... well, ALL of them but my absolute fave is #10! Love everything about this one, the crop, the color, the text use... it's beautiful! I also love how abstract #13! Nice work!

Wow, I love the colors on 7 - 9! I can never get those extremely vibrant lights to work right.

I really like the textured look of 1, too.

4 is amazing - so much emotion in such a minimal way.

I'm glad you had such a good time with the set. I made half a set in 30 minutes (it's called 10in30, right? ;)), but those were all very plain - simple coloring, no text, barely any textures - they weren't bad but I wasn't particularly proud of them, either. Then my muse left me. *sigh*

Part of it was probably that I already feel like I'm behind on the 20muses comments, so entering another challenge with a lot of participants didn't sound so appealing after all.

One of my favourite things in an icon is actually bright colouring with light textures and it's fairly easy to do. I hope you give it another chance!

I'll definitely keep trying. I can't reproduce the effect yet, and as long as I haven't reached that goal, it won't leave me alone. :D

I kinda wish you'd finished your set. It would have been cool to see!

Yeah, I still had to finish my technique20in20 set (this one), so I couldn't devote my full attention to the 10in30.

But I will definitely post the five icons I made at some point, and I'll let you know when I do! They're all Agent Carter, and I'm definitely not done with that show yet!

#10 IS A MASTERPIECE TBH. I adore the colouring, the lighting and the grunge effect very very much.
Also, perfect text placement. Other favourites are #1 (looks like an actual painting aaah), #2, #6 (love the b&w A LOT), #7 and #9. *Q*
