Notes:

• The last blended icon I made was bout 6 years ago? So it was a struggle. I feel accomplished just for even managing it. And 2 blending icons in one post??? Who am I even??


• I'm so out of practice when it comes to making technical icons, cause I usually default to the simple stuff. So this was hard but also enjoyable.


• The goal was to do 10. I couldnt so here I am, with 6, just one past the minimum. Shortest icon post ever. Edit: I was able to hit 10!

There are only six icons here, but they are all so pretty! I love the coloring and compositions of the first three. The lighting on 2 also looks gorgeous. The muted colors and lighting of 5 are fantastic, too :D

You made it count! I love all six icons so much -- they're so beautiful.
I love that the top three are more vibrant/warm than the bottom three. The composition in the first three is great and the lighting in 2 and the coloring in 3 are also to die for. I also really like your blending in 1, 5 (lighting + muted colors + that crop = ♥) and the texture work in 4 and 6.

These are so beautiful! I adore the soft look, and light on 3, also composition on 1 is killer <3 Coloring on 2, and coloring and light on 5 so spot on! I'm saving a bunch for future :)

OMG SO GOOD TO SEE NEW ICONS BY YOU!! And I'm extra happy you used the small extension to make even more! :D and wow you weren't very lucky with the themes since there's a lot of repetion with the blending and the contrast themes. Anyway, you totally rocked this challenge and I'm suuuper impressed that you made the last four in such a short time?? Like I thought the extension was basically useless cause I wouldn't even be able to open Photoshop in that time lol (seriously, I'm an extra slow maker, I can make one icon a day and you made FOUR GREAT ONES! <3)

I love that you went with the extra hard, since that led to some super cool and original icons, and that this even made you do some blending icons after so many years! Tbh the way you did them is kiiinda on the verge of fitting the theme, I'd personally call both of these blocking more than blending, but I can see where your interpretation comes from (the lines between blocks are uneven so they blend together in that way. I'll count these, since the definitions were unclear in the first place and in 7 especially the blocks do blend together in a way where I can't immediately tell where one starts and the other ends). ANYWAY no matter what the technique is called, these are both absolutely amazing, which makes it so surprising that you don't normally use these types of compositions, and I love the decorative elements in both - the text in 1 and the very subtle textures in 7. And the extra vibrant, bright colors on 1 are super pretty to look at too.

2 is a top favorite of mine, it's spectacular! *__* Ironically enough, this would definitely be a blending icon in my eyes, and the blend effect is absolutely stunning. The intensely vibrant colors just look so spectacular and the lighting is just incredible <3
I love a good muted icon and 5 is perfect, love the pale coloring, the subtle grunge and the lighting! 6 is another stunning one with an intense gorgeous crop and lovely muted colors. I love the icy coloring and really cool texture use; the texture is a clever, creative way to add more contrast. And finally I adore 10, and kinda love how creatively you took the theme and followed it while also subverting it - yes there's focus on the bottom with those two blocks, but there's also focus everywhere else. So it counts for sure, but in a really cheeky kind of way :D I loooove the vibrant greens and the geometric texture use which adds super cool effects to an already awesome composition.

I know my reply is very early 😬 but honestly, thank you so much for your lovely words! This was indeed a bomb challenge and I enjoyed flexing my icon muscles. Usually, I like to crop and colour and leave it at that. This challenge did make me try out different stuff which was really good for me!

Also thank you for giving me a pass for all the theme subversions! I didn't even realize that it happened with icon 10!

wow, really, really great set!! ♥ I adore the lighting and the softness in these is super beautiful ♥ The composition is wonderful!! Love them!! 3 has super pretty lighting and the coloring. I love muted tone of 5 and 6!! The lighting of 5 is magnificent and the crop of 6; just wow! ♥ Levels work is stunning of 10 and 7 and I adore the lighting also 9 .:)
